What happens when you need to add space on to an existing car dealership, all while keeping the dealership’s business running smoothly? You build over, around, and above.

When Rountree Moore Ford came to us for an addition to their existing dealership, we knew they needed not just an expansion but a modern update that would bring them from the 1970s into the modern era. The primary challenge was to creatively carry out the construction without interrupting business.

Because we needed to keep the original showroom open, we worked on the project in phases. Once we finished the front part of the building, we moved the dealership’s staff into the front and demolished the old part of the remaining building in back. In the end, the business only had to be fully out of the building for just one day. Disruption to the dealership was minimal, and customers were kept happy.

Outdoors at Rountree Moore Ford, one of our most important additions is LED lighting that decreases energy cost and consumption by 35% and showcases the sheen of their inventory. Customers find it significantly easier to shop at night (new cars look great under ambient lighting!). Since the expansion, revenue has also improved, to the tune of 25%.

The dealership’s owners were so pleased with their results that they contracted with us for ongoing maintenance, and also brought us in to expand and update their other locations.
